Mid North Coast Bushwalks

Bushwalks to connect people with nature.

What We Do

  • We provide opportunities to explore and appreciate the Mid North Coast's beautiful natural environment.

  • We offer a variety of walks between 4 and 10 kilometres long that are suitable for most levels of fitness.

  • Most of our walks are graded either 3 or 4 using the Australian Walking Track Grading System.

  • Most of our walks are along NSW Forest Corporation fire trails and are graded either 3 or 4 using the Australian Walking Track Grading System. Occasionally we also walk through National Parks, Crown Lands and on private property when permission is granted.

  • As a not for profit organisation, OzGREEN relies on fundraising to fulfill its purpose of empowering people to love and protect the environment.

Our pricing for Mid North Coast Bushwalks is:

    Individuals $10

    Families (2A 2C) $25

  • To book, we require all participants to submit a registration form and process their payment prior to the walk. If you don't have access to a computer, please call 02 5615 8108 and we will register you manually. Walks are capped at 15 people to ensure everyone has a good experience.

  • If we have to cancel our walks because of bad weather or if you are unable to attend because something comes up we will give you a credit for a future walk.

  • OzGREEN works in partnership with local organisations that offer enriching opportunities to connect with nature. We highly recommend Bellingen Nature Tours if you would like a deeply immersive and customised tour of Bellingen Shire’s ancient Gondwana rainforests. Mark Graham is an experienced ecologist who will generously share his great knowledge and love for the wonderful Gumbaynggirr land on which we reside. To book one of Mark’s tours please visit Bellingen Nature Tours.

Our walks help raise funds for local environmental activities, programs and events.

We're currently raising funds to train our Bellingen Riverwatch (BR) citizen scientists to identify and monitor macro-invertebrate (waterbugs) in the Bellinger and Kalang rivers.

Waterbugs are a really important food source for the Critically Endangered Bellinger River Snapping Turtle and many other vulnerable species. The number and variety of macro invertebrate across our catchment are a good indicator of whether or not our rivers are healthy.
